Itinerary 

Sam Talucci has assembled a curated walking and hiking trip in Newcastle Upon Tyne to Bowness-on-Solway.

Hadrian’s Wall Path is a long-distance footpath in the north of England, which became the 15th National Trail in 2003. It runs for 84 miles, from Wallsend on the east coast of England to Bowness-on-Solway on the west coast.

This trip has luggage service so that you will walk with a lighter day pack. See the restrictions below in reference to the luggage service.

7-Day Trip

• Day 1 Explore Newcastle upon Tyne and urban sections of Hadrian Wall. Visit the Roman museum ~ 5 miles. 17:00 Meet, orientation & dinner.

• Day 2 Shuttle to Heddon on the Wall, walk to Chollerford ~ 13.8 miles

• Day 3 Walk Chollerford to Steel Rigg ~ 11.7 miles/ pick up bus to hotel or hike ~6.5 miles to the hotel, visit Roman Army Museum.

• Day 4 Walk to Walton and detour at the end to Brampton for a hotel ~ 13.5 miles.

• Day 5 Walk Brampton to Carlisle ~10.6 miles.

• Day 6 Walk from Carlisle to Bowness on Solway, have a pint at Kings Arms Inn to celebrate, catch a bus back to Carlisle, and have dinner ~13.1 miles.

• Day 7 Breakfast and onward travels.

It is either a B&B or a hotel. All rooms are doubles (queen or 2 singles), all en-suite. Breakfast and dinner are included; bring your favorite snacks for the hikes.

Luggage shuttle included for 40 L /20kg/45 Lbs. These restrictions are based on the luggage service provider. If your suitcase is larger, there might be an additional charge.

Incidental transportation during the trip due to inclement weather is included.

The trip starts in Newcastle Upon Tyne and ends in Carlisle, which can be easily accessed by train from either Heathrow (~5 hours) or Gatwick (~ 5.5 hours).

We are offering a rate via check for $2,800.00 (fill out this form) otherwise to pay online it is $3,000.00 for a credit card (pay here) transaction per person based on double occupancy, There is a single occupancy up-charge of $400.00. If you are ok to have a shared same gender room partner you can forgo the up-charge.
